How the Ministry represents and protects Nomashae on the world stage

Diplomatic Relations
Establishing, maintaining, and developing Nomashae's relationships with other nations, micronations, communities, and organisations. Every relationship begins with respect.
Treaties & Agreements
Negotiating and ratifying formal agreements with outside parties — from trade deals and mutual recognition treaties to cooperation accords and peace agreements.
International Representation
Speaking on behalf of Nomashae in external forums, communities, and events. The Ministry ensures the Republic's voice is heard clearly, consistently, and with dignity.
External Intelligence
Monitoring geopolitical developments relevant to Nomashae's interests. Working alongside the NIaI to keep the government informed of external threats, opportunities, and shifts in the wider world.
Citizen Representation Abroad
Supporting Nomashalian citizens operating or engaging outside the Republic's borders. Citizens travelling or conducting affairs externally may contact the Ministry for guidance.
Peace & Mediation
Where conflicts affect Nomashae or its allies, the Ministry leads mediation efforts. In the tradition of Nomashae's founding principles — diplomacy before all else.

Enter any alliance that compromises its sovereignty or values.
Engage in hostile diplomacy or political aggression.
Sign agreements that conflict with its Constitution.
Recognise nations whose values contradict Nomashae's core principles.
Allow external pressure to override internal democratic decisions.
Take sides in external conflicts that do not threaten the Republic.
The Process

How Nomashae Forms Relations

The steps from first contact to a formal relationship with another nation or party

First Contact An outside party or Nomashae itself initiates contact. The Ministry of External Affairs receives and reviews the outreach, assessing the nature and intent of the relationship.

Diplomatic Review The Ministry reviews the outside party — their values, governance, and interests — to determine whether a relationship is in Nomashae's best interest.

Dialogue & Negotiation If approved, both parties open dialogue. Terms of any agreement, recognition, or cooperation are negotiated openly and in good faith.

Parliamentary Approval Any formal treaty or agreement must be approved by Parliament before it is ratified. No binding external commitment is made without the consent of Nomashae's citizens.

Presidential Ratification The President signs and ratifies the agreement on behalf of the Republic. The treaty is then documented in the national archive and takes effect immediately.
